Gorge walking is the ultimate in outdoor thrills. You will be scrambling down rivers, climbing up waterfalls and abseiling into lichen covered chasms.
Your challenge will be to stay dry for as long as possible as you walk your way through the gorge. When you do get wet the fun really starts with water slides,
natural obstacle courses and plunge pools - finishing off at the car park and warm dry clothing.
Herefordshire and Monmouthshire both have beautiful gorges that you can enjoy just a short drive from your accommodation, and once you have got the taste for gorge walking
there are more gorges to be explored in Wales and the Brecon Beacons, click on the Gorge Walking Wales Experience link above for more information.
Gorge walking is a fantastic team building activity, groups are encouraged to work together to ensure that all members of the party feel supported and included
within the team. Very often, normally quiet or shy individuals will display unknown talents and skills, and this can dramatically improve their standing within the
group and improve their confidence and self esteem.
Gorge walking is an activity not to be missed if you want full on fun and adventure. You will be in totally safe hands with very experienced and caring instructors.
Highly recommended.
Gorge walking takes place in Herefordshire, Monmouthshire, Wales and the Brecon Beacons, and occasionally the Wye Valley and the Forest of Dean.

Feedback about Gorge Walkin
Our outdoor activities can be tailored to suit any group, so whether you are searching for corporate outdoor activities for your company, something exciting for a group of friends to do, an activity that all the family could engage in, or just want something to suit a Hen Party or Stag Party, then we can provide something really different to suit everyone. If outdoor activities seem a bit too strenuous then we can organise a Team Challenge or a Survival Challenge which are competitive fun sessions that anyone can do, no matter what age or ability.
Our ultimate aim is to give you and your party the most fun, the most excitement and the best adventure that you have ever had. And don't feel intimidated by the photos, we always start every gorge walking session gently and teach you all the skills and techniques that you need along the way. By the time you get to any tougher parts you will be more than ready for them and if you feel that you don't want to do a certain challenge then you can always miss that bit out and rejoin the group on the other side.
During the gorge walking session we will be taking photos and videos of you and your party. We will then send you all the pictures so that you can relive those moments again and again. If you want to bring your own cameras or camcorders you can do so but it will be entirely at your own risk.
Don't forget, you can do outdoor activities at any time of the year but gorge walking is suitable for the warmer months of the year however there are some gorges that we are able to do during the colder months as they do not require to be in the deep water for too long. So if you want to experience the best gorge walking activity in England and Wales then contact me for a quote for you and your party. I offer discounts for large groups and can arrange transport and accommodation if you have not already got it organised

I have been Gorge Walking before and I have to say Michael's Gorge Walking was head and shoulders above my previous experience. He was fun, friendly and very conscious about the groups safety. The river was fast flowing on the day and very exciting. We had a great time. Another plus was we had somewhere to get changed, not just a pub car park! We all had such a brilliant day, in particular the large Jump at the end. Cant wait to go again!

I highly recommend Michael at Gorge Walking Wales. We went to Brecon Beacons last weekend and had an awesome experience. I was with my niece and her fiance who are twenty years younger than me so I was a little concerned that I wouldn't be able to keep up. Michael made it easy. And he encouraged leadership and teamwork by letting each of us take a chance at leading the group. He never tried to force us to try something we were uncomfortable with and he was so very attentive and concerned for our safety. I felt completely safe and looked after and I even made the big jump! At first I chickened out but then my niece talked me into it. I am so glad I jumped!!!! Thank you, Michael, for showing us an amazing day full of fun and challenges! I hope I get back across the pond to do this again one day.

Jo - Cheltenham
What a fantastic day!I think it's fair to say everyone in the group got a little apprehensive at some point during the abseiling or gorge walking! However, with Michael's calm coaching approach everyone completed all that was asked of them with a huge sense of accomplishment. We'll be back!

Just wanted to say thank you very much for a spectacular day, we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and want to go gorge walking again immediately! What topped it off was the fact that you're quite obviously very knowledgeable and passionate about the
activities and you take a true interest in teaching others your knowledge and skills - it really was a fantastic experience that has left me hungry for more!
My father is 60 this year and has always wanted to go gorge walking so am looking at booking something for later this year. What's your availability like?

Michael,
Thanks for such a great day for my brothers stag weekend in Wales. The gorge walking was everything I had hoped for, and I thought you and Matt were both great guides and great sports towards our whole group. All the boys were buzzing about it for the rest of the day! I may well be in touch about a coasteering day or another gorge walking day (perhaps the one with abseiling). Also, thanks for capturing some great photos, and accommodating our varying group size. Stag weekends are difficult to organise, and I appreciated the flexibility in group size that you accounted for. I'll be sure to recommend gorge walking and yourself to others!

What a fantastic afternoon. We were a small group of mixed ability stag-weekenders and couldn't have asked for more. Michael, our leader, was supportive of the group throughout, setting the pace to match our ability. Starting out we learnt the relevant
techniques we'd need later in the day, with a focus on safety and teamwork. We then took it in turns to lead our way up the gorge with various targets set as we went along (like staying dry!). Highlights for me were the headfirst shimmy down a very narrow 45
degree angle tunnel, and a couple of heart stopping leaps from waterfalls. Provided with access to photos of the event on-line afterwards. Whole event was safe, professional, and most importantly a great deal of fun!
Chris - Research Chemist - Discovery Chemistry
